We’re already three weeks into 2024. Are you still feeling the excitement of a new year? Are you still embracing those goals you set? Take an inventory of your year so far.
 
There’s something called the 21/90 rule: it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days to make it a permanent lifestyle change. If you started incorporating a new habit or goal at the beginning of the year, you may have just hit that 21-day mark. 
 
Or maybe you haven’t been quite as consistent as you’d hoped. But guess what? You still have 94% of 2024. Want to know something even more comforting? God already has a plan for each and every one of us: for this year and years to come.
 
Here are five truths to finish out January and encourage you to keep going with confidence, hope and joy.

• We are made new in Christ. Focus on your Creator and what he’s calling you to. Throw off your old self and hold tight to what he’s doing in your heart. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
• While life may change, God doesn’t. God is consistent: He never changes. You can trust in who he is today, tomorrow and forever. (James 1:17)
• God cares for us. Rely on God. Whether that’s to make your goals happen or to just get through the day, he is there for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
• Let go of the past and seek what God has for you. Align your heart with God’s will for your future and seek out the ways he is moving! (Isaiah 43:18-19)
• We can have unending hope in the Lord. No matter what’s ahead, placing your future in God’s hands will not disappoint. (Proverbs 23:18) 

Enter the rest of 2024 with true confidence: God is for you.
